CIty Hall: Munich, Germany

Swan and Cygnet

Hofbrauhaus

This is a HUGE beer hall in Munich. If you ever go, this is a must see. Its also ironic because I don't like beer, so naturally, I felt at home here. ;)

Tag, I'm it.

I've been tagged by

alcluith to do this 5 things you may not know about me.

I hope its interesting enough for everyone, I also hope it doesn't scare you away. Sorry it took so long to fill it out. So, with out further delay, here are 5 things you may (or may not) want to know about me:

-I passed out in a restaurant once when I was 9 years old. It was during one of the hottest summers on record and that day, it was about 98 degress F (That's still damn hot in Celcius). It was even hotter in the restaurant. We were standing in line when I passed out on my grandmother. Fortunately, my father was right behind her and grabbed me before I broke a bone ... or one of my grandmother's.

-Growing up, my brother and I didn't like cake. So for our birthday's every year, my mother made us apple pie instead.

-I received a stuffed dog for Christmas one year when I was 8. I still own him to this day and I'm now 27, you do the math. I guess its true what they say about old dogs and old habits. ;)

-I can't sneeze just once. I usually sneeze about 9 times in a row. Hurts like the dickens...

- I don't like needles. In fact, I warn the nurses before they take blood or give me an injection that I don't handle it well. Then I have to look away and start to focus on my breathing so I don't start to cry. God, I hate needles....

Okay, I'm officially a bit odd. But I think most people are. Or that's what I tell myself to feel better ;) So now, I get to tag 5 people. My choices are (drumroll please) Teatime In Scotland, a bird in the hand,Ramblings, Off Kelter, and Get Zapped.

All Good Things Must Come to an End.

We're flying home tomorrow first thing in the morning, so today is the last day we'll be spending in Konstanz. I have tons of pictures I need to load, but I haven't had the time yet due to coming home completely exhausted. Pictures I have left are Munich, Germany and Luzerne, Switzerland. There is a possiblility I may get a few more of Konstanz today. Weather permitting.

Anyway, the trip was fun. I've learned so much, not only about the country but about myself. I guess I feel a bit broadened. ;) I'll write more about it later.

Strasbourg, France

The view from Strasbourg (Notre Dame) Cathedral

Only took 10 minutes to get up the stairs...My legs are killing me.

So, one old guy said to the other old guy, "Don't you think we're getting too old for this?"

I took this picture actually in the Neuschwanstein Castle (looking outside). We weren't allowed to use cameras, but I figured since I wasn't taking pictures of the inside of the castle, it wasn't such a crime. Just don't tell anyone ;)

Neuschwanstein Castle

This is the castle in Germany that inspired the people in Disney World. Perhaps its not the real piece of trivia that everyone wants to know about it, but it might be the one that triggers most memories. You can find more information about

Neuschwanstein here if the mood strikes you. Check out King Ludwig as well. He has quite a story...
