Stain Glass Window I

Stain Glass Window II

Its a bit shaky (I still haven't acquired the rock steady hand yet when taking pictures at a slower speed) but I thought the color of the window was pretty.

"The Raconteur" Store Window

This is a wonderful little used bookstore in Metuchen. Its received a lot of notice this past year, including a small article in the New York Times. It also has movie nights, readings by authors and a lot of cool antique-ish type stuff.

Stupid Blogger...

My pictures aren't taking up the entire area that Blogger wants them to, so now they look stupid with all the space under them. I'm not sure why this is happening, I hope its just another temporary blog thing that they are working on.

Sorry. :(

Autumn In New Jersey

Autumn this year in NJ seems to be prettier then most I've seen. Although I increased the saturation on this picture to bring out the leave more, it still doesn't compare to other parts of the North East. Hopefully (if I can get all of my work done this week) I'll be going home to Pennsylvania this weekend to take some proper autumn pictures (and see the family, of course). This is really the only time I get homesick, missing the mountains and the colors. For once, I can go home again. ;)

More on SLIP

I was biking my way to lab when I saw the explosion of graffiti under the Route 18 bridge. SLIP seems to be promoting social improvement through graffiti, leaving their mark just about anywhere that will be seen, but is still "hidden".

SLIPS Robin

The People United Under "SLIP" seem to be getting mad because we're not "keeping it beautiful".

Scarecrow with Bird-In-Hand

First Good Picture with the New Camera. I think there might be hope after all.

Its a Camera!

I am happy to announce the arrival of my new baby camera, Canon EOS Rebel XTi, Cleopatra for short. ;)

Since I can no longer shake off the shutterbug urge, I've decided that photography is a far better hobby then some of the ones I was considering. Examples include Gambling, cradle snatching, and pot smoking. ;)

This is also the first time I spent more money on a hobby then when my parents did when they brought me home from the hospital. The last time I spent a lot of money on a hobby was the $100 I received for Christmas in 1990, when I bought my first (and only) Alto Saxophone. My parents promised to put up the rest ($150) if I promised to stay with it for 2 years. That hobby lasted for a good 8 years, but quickly died when I got into college and couldn't compete with all the other Alto Saxes/didn't have enough time to practice/the horn was just beyond repair. So now, I sing in the shower.

I am hoping for good pictures. It will quite possibly take some time to get use to everything, but like I promised my parents a long time ago, I promise to stick with it for at least 2 years.

Just Kidding. I'm sure this habit will last much longer. :)
